ADOPT POPEYE: Spunky 2-Legged Dog's First Year
We don't know what caused Popeye's paralysis. He was found as a stray already a paraplegic. 3 vets said to put him down because it would just be the easier thing to do--not easier for Popeye, easier for the humans. Thankfully there was a whole network of caring individuals and groups looking out for him until he came to us as a foster dog. Popeye's stiff hind legs were eventually amputated for fear of infection, trauma, or other injury and because they were just getting in his way and causing stress to the rest of his body. We hope seeing Popeye will help to change people's preconceived notions of those who are handicapped. He is an incredible dog. A happy dog. He does not realize he is any different than any other dog. Popeye may have once been a victim, but now he is a conquerer. For Popeye's complete story, visit http://www.PopeyeTheDog.com. At the top right corner of that page, there is a link to his Adoption Ad which tells his story as far as we know it. Added: 399 days ago From MSU global.duration: 347.00 Views: 507 | Comments: 0
